at last

i finally, finally fixed this dress into something i like. i splurged on this months ago and have worn it less than a handful of times since; i'd decided i would diy it into something i would actually wear, but i was too chicken to actually cut into it. until today.

it went from this:

to this:

a nice little crop-top for the summer. i sewed the back closed, too, so i can finally wear a bra with it (hooray!)

and to top it all off, the skirt is still functional, and better than ever! i'm sure i'll be posting that soon.

that's all for now. hope you're enjoying your weekend!

*edit* holy shit, i'm pale as can be. the first picture was in the middle of last summer. i need sun, guys. if my transparent skin can take it.

  1. Beautiful! I loved it as a dress, too, but it looks darling as a little crop top!

  4. I think that was a really smart decision Audrey -- the top is so much more wearable now, and I think what happened with the folds and fruffles in front is kind of even prettier ;)

  14. Hey! I love the stuff on here! I am very new to Etsy (haven't even posted pictures yet) and I am wondering first of all--How do you decide on prices for your clothes? What should a hat cost? What should a really nice dress cost? I am at a loss.

    Any advice would be great!
